I have hummed along as an acupuncturist since 1992. 10 years ago, at age 50, I heard a higher octave calling me to deepen my creative life. I began a personal and rigorous drawing & painting practice, focusing largely on figurative work. Lyrical lines combined with the alchemy of paint beguile me. My innate building of communities and the urgency of the climate crisis undergird all of my work.
My first book, Pulses: A Memoir through Art, is a full on invitation to witness my creative process and to be inspired towards your own.
I am currently cooking up my next book, an exploration of collective art sharing, picking up where Pulses leaves off.
I trained at Dalvero Art Academy, and studied independently with Veronica Lawlor, James Pintar, Robert Siegelman and Melanie Reim.
My partner, my cats and I are based in Boston. We all live in a net zero energy house.
